Automotive Maintenance 101
This hands-on seminar provides an introduction to auto-mechanics: from understanding your own vehicle to performing basic roadside emergency troubleshooting and maintenance. Local mechanic Ash Lamoreaux speaks to their 6+ years of experience as a queer, female in the automotive industry, teaching students the basic systems of their vehicle as well as basic roadside know-how: how to pop the hood and check the oil; how to check tire pressure and install a spare tire; and how to safely jump a battery. Listen to guest speakers talk to their experience under the hood, and get your questions answered from a mechanic who’s dying to share their knowledge and tools. The cost of this class is flexible. West Philly Tool Library is committed to keeping our classes affordable and accessible to as many people as possible. If you would like to pay less than the $75 ticket, please use coupon code "DISCOUNT10" or "DISCOUNT20" for $10 or $20 respectively off the class cost.
