Join us for an exciting class to learn some of the most fundamental building blocks in woodworking. We will focus on how to select wood for your next project, where to get it locally, and getting hands-on with each machine (planer, jointer, table saw) in the shop. We will also discuss different types of joinery and the tools/techniques needed for your next home project! This is a hands-on class - so get ready to get your hands dirty and try something new at the West Philly Tool Library! The cost of this class is flexible. West Philly Tool Library is committed to keeping our classes affordable and accessible to as many people as possible. Per our policy, for cancellation requests received at least one week before the class, we will issue a credit towards a future class. We are unable to guarantee credit for cancellation requests received less than seven days before the date of the class, although we will do our best to accommodate late cancellations if we are able to fill your spot. Tickets are transferable; please notify us using this form prior to the class if someone else will be attending in your stead and provide the attendees name and email address.
