How we collect, use, and protect your information.

Effective Date: August 11, 2026
Last Updated: August 18, 2026

West Philly Tool Library Inc. (“WPTL,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use our website at westphillytools.org, visit our physical location, or interact with us via SMS text messaging or email.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

Information Collected Automatically

Class Shopping Analytics

When you browse or register for classes, we record a limited sequence of actions—such as viewing a class list or detail page, adding a class to a cart, beginning checkout, and completing a purchase—to understand where the registration process can be improved. These events may include randomly generated visitor, session, cart, checkout-attempt, class, bundle, and purchase identifiers; device category; the page path without its query string; the referring site’s hostname; campaign tags; ticket counts; prices; and standardized success or failure codes.

Class shopping analytics do not include names, email addresses, phone numbers, attendee or member identifiers, payment-provider customer or payment method IDs, promotional or credit codes, waiver text, full URLs, query strings, or raw error messages. WPTL stores a first-party copy and sends the same limited event categories to Google Analytics and Umami. We do not use session replay or record page contents, form entries, mouse movements, or keystrokes as part of this class funnel.

Paid outreach links may also provide bounded campaign, audience, placement, source, and click identifiers. We use these values to connect class-shopping activity with the outreach that brought a visitor to WPTL. We do not store the full landing-page query string. Search parameters are also excluded from Google Analytics and Umami page locations. Click identifiers are not shown in staff reports, rendered on a page, or included in application logs.

Optional tracking is off until you make a choice. If you allow class analytics, WPTL sends the limited class-funnel events described above to its first-party analytics endpoint, Google Analytics, and Umami. If you separately allow outreach measurement, WPTL may send eligible class-view, cart, checkout, payment-step, and completed-purchase milestones to an advertising measurement service and may read bounded browser identifiers for the checkout attribution record. We do not send names, email addresses, phone numbers, attendee details, or payment credentials through this class funnel.

You can accept, decline, or customize these optional categories through the tracking preferences control in the site footer. Declining or later revoking a category does not affect browsing, cart, or checkout. Revocation stops future optional collection and advertising measurement calls, but it cannot recall events already delivered with your prior consent.

Raw class shopping funnel events stored by WPTL are deleted after 400 days. This limit does not delete authoritative class purchases, registrations, payments, refunds, attendance records, or accounting records. Access to the class conversion report is limited to authorized administrative staff.
