Build a Birdhouse! (Spring 2026 Community Class)

Learn how to build a classic cedar birdhouse in this hands-on DIY class at the West Philly Tool Library. We'll cover basic woodworking skills, safe tool use, and tips for attracting local birds to your yard. No experience necessary — all materials provided! Tools you’ll learn to use:     •    Measuring tape     •    Miter saw     •    Table saw     •    Drill/Driver     •    Finish nailer All tools and materials will be provided. We use locally sourced cedar for all of our outdoor project classes - which will last for years to come! The West Philly Tool Library is committed to keeping our classes affordable and accessible to as many people as possible. Cancellations and Credit: If you have signed up for a class but are unable to attend, please complete the form at https://westphillytools.org/classes/request to cancel your enrollment. Per our policy, for cancellation requests received at least one week before the class, we will issue a credit towards a future class. We are unable to guarantee credit for cancellation requests received less than seven days before the date of the class, although we will do our best to accommodate late cancellations if we are able to fill your spot. Tickets are transferable; please notify us using this form prior to the class if someone else will be attending in your stead and provide the attendees name and email address.
