Build an Adirondack Chair
In this class, you will learn safe practices and gain hands-on experience using several basic power tools (miter saw, impact drivers, and more) while building an Adirondack chair to take home with you! This is a full sized chair constructed from weather and insect resistant cedar. All tools and materials will be provided. We use locally sourced cedar for all of our outdoor planters and furniture - which will last for years to come! No experience necessary! The cost of this class is flexible. West Philly Tool Library is committed to keeping our classes affordable and accessible to as many people as possible. If you would like to pay less than the $150 ticket, please use coupon code "DISCOUNT10" or "DISCOUNT20" for $10 or $20 respectively off the class cost. Please consider that the cost of the cedar alone is around $100 with the balance going towards other materials (screws, fabric, etc.) and compensating the instructor. Also please consider paying more, if you are able, to help cover the costs of hosting this class and others like it. Cancellations and Credit: If you have signed up for a class but are unable to attend, please complete the form at https://westphillytools.org/classes/request to cancel your enrollment. Per our policy, for cancellation requests received at least one week before the class, we will issue a credit towards a future class. We are unable to guarantee credit for cancellation requests received less than seven days before the date of the class, although we will do our best to accommodate late cancellations if we are able to fill your spot. Tickets are transferable; please notify us using this form prior to the class if someone else will be attending in your stead and provide the attendees name and email address.
