Tools & Skills: Part 2

Our sequel to our best-selling class is here for a limited time! In this second class, you will learn about table saws for rip cuts and crosscuts, planer and jointer for dimensioning lumber, and pneumatic tools that will expand your knowledge and experience for your next project. Tools and Skills: Part 2 builds on the fundamental skills from Part 1, introducing new tools and skills which are important for all handy people to learn. We will use the following tools during this class: - Table Saw (rip cuts and crosscuts) - Planer & Jointer - Scroll Saw - Drill Press - Air compressor & pneumatic nailers (pin, finish, and brad) You will also get experience working with: - Dimensional lumber - Plywood - Trim - Other pneumatic tool accessories - Different blades for different saws above This is a hands-on class - so get ready to get your hands dirty and try out some basic tools and skills at the West Philly Tool Library! Part 1 is NOT a pre-requisite, but be aware that we may use some of the tools from this course in Part 2! The cost of this class is flexible. West Philly Tool Library is committed to keeping our classes affordable and accessible to as many people as possible. Per our policy, for cancellation requests received at least one week before the class, we will issue a credit towards a future class. We are unable to guarantee credit for cancellation requests received less than seven days before the date of the class, although we will do our best to accommodate late cancellations if we are able to fill your spot. Tickets are transferable; please notify us using this form prior to the class if someone else will be attending in your stead and provide the attendees name and email address.
